Cinema and Advertising- есе /argumentative essay/
It is not a secret that many modern movies use advertisement in their
actions. It concerns generally soap operas and low-budget movies. But
films with high budget, e.g. Night and Day Watch (where we can find an
advertising of MTS) or Knight Rider (where the car of Ford motors is
advertised) or James Bond who drove only Aston Martin. I think it is
nothing out of the common. A great amount of movies were created for a
very easy purpose for earning more and more money. Advertisement is an
effective tool to do it. Many people are fanatic about the characters
and it is a real joy for them to proclaim for instance that he/she has
the same mobile telephone as this or that character had. I find it
funny, but it is very useful. In the movie about our modern life we see
our streets with a number of different banners posters and why
shouldn’t the directors change them to the same of sponsor?
In low-budget films the situation changes. The advertisement becomes silly and irritating. Imagine: Mother and father discussed something them\n comes a child and start disturbing them. Mother says that it will be better if he eats a particular yoghurt because it contains vital vitamins trace elements. The child start eating for show and repeating that now than he becomes stronger and his memory becomes better. Father is nervous because the child interrupt their conversation and mother advises him to take a particular sedative. Do you really want to watch such a film? I DON’T. To sum it up I want to say that advertising during the movie has the right to exist, but it must be to the point and in time. | |
